Anatolian Shepherd Puppy Contract

PAYMENT : A deposit of $200 will be required for each puppy that you would like to purchase. The remaining balance of $ ______________ will be due by the time that the puppy is 4 weeks old. Shipping costs will be due by the time the puppy is 6 weeks old ( money order or Paypal only for Shipping cost ). Deposits are non refundable. If puppy is beyond 4 weeks old at time of purchase, then we will only accept cash at time of pickup/delivery.
SELECTION: Buyers can make their puppy selections as early as they would like, pending the selection of those in front of them. Selections will be made in the order that deposits were received and / or gender preference. We ask that your selection be made by the time that the puppy reaches 4 weeks of age. If a decision has not been made by the time the puppy is 4 weeks old we will give a 48 hour time limit for your decision before we move down the line. We ask that buyers please be patient while you are waiting for those in front of you to make a choice of their desired puppy. We also understand that 4 weeks is more than adequate for making a selection as well.
TEMPERAMENT / SPECIAL NEEDS: I have been training dogs professionally for over 20 years and I am a Honor Graduate from Animal Behavior College. I have worked with all ages and breeds of dogs but I specialize in behavioral issues and temperament testing. I strive to match the proper dog to the correct environment. If needed, I can work with each prospective owner to try and fit their needs.
PICKUP / DELIVERY: We ask that all puppies have arrangements to be picked up from the farm or shipped between 8 - 10 weeks of age. Puppies not picked up / shipped by 10 weeks of age will be charged a $25 per day boarding fee. This fee will cover their daily feed and training. Cash is the only method of payment accepted at time of pickup/delivery. No exceptions will be made to this.
HEALTH GUARANTEE: Briar Mtn guarantees that the puppy will have regular worming at the recommended intervals and that the puppy will have received their first shot. We will give the first 7 way vaccination at 6 weeks of age and if the puppy is still here by the time it reaches 9 weeks of age it will receive its second shot as well. Seller guarantees the puppy to be healthy and free of disease upon receipt of the Buyer. The Buyer agrees to have the dog examined by a licensed veterinarian within 3 days of receipt. The buyer may return the puppy for a full refund or replacement within 7 days should a problem be found. Briar Mtn Farm must have verbal confirmation from the vet via phone call within 3 days of pickup and also have a statement in writing with the vet letterhead. Delivery and return cost for shipping / vet visit(s) / or mileage and time will be the sole responsibility of the Buyer for the return of the puppy if a replacement is needed.
SHIPPING: Buyer is responsible for all costs associated with shipping which includes but are not limited to : shipping fees, cost of shipping crate, vet inspection / health certificate and our delivery fee to either Roanoke Regional Airport or Piedmont Triad International Airport which will be $25. I, the Buyer, understand that once Briar Mtn Farm and Kennel has delivered my puppy to the departing airport that the Seller is no longer responsible for my puppy's health, safety and well being. REGISTRATION: The Seller will have the litter registered with the American Kennel Club and the Buyer will receive an individual Dog Registration Application. Buyer is responsible for the basic registration fee. All Anatolian Puppies shall be named with BRIAR MTN as the prefix and it can not be changed.
SPAY / NEUTER: Some puppies will be sold with a spay / neuter contract. The buyer agrees to have the dog spayed or neutered by the time the dog reaches 7 months of age. If the dog has not been spayed/ neutered by this time we will need a certified letter sent from your vet stating why the operation has not been performed. I agree by signing below to have my dog spayed / neutered by this date : __________ and I understand the above dog will never be used for breeding x _____________________________
PET AGREEMENT: For all Anatolian Shepherds that are purchased as pets, we require that the dog be enrolled and actively participate in at least 1 six week Obedience class ( preferably before the dog is 16 weeks old ). It is recommended that your dog be well socialized with people and other dogs as early on as possible. We would also like pictures of the dogs future enviroment to make sure the dog has room to roam / excercise. We do not want the dog living on a chain on in a small kennel. If you do not own your own home or are living in an apartment, we will need written permission from the owners stating that it is okay for you to acquire a dog of this size.
RETURN GUARANTEE: If at any time during the life of your Briar Mtn Anatolian Shepherd you find that you are no longer able to keep it, Briar Mtn Farm will take your dog back ( if we are able ). Upon receipt of your dog, Briar Mtn will not reimburse you for the cost of the puppy, shipping costs, vet or training expenses that incurred prior to the return of the dog. AKC Registration Papers will also be returned to Briar Mtn. If you must rehome your dog and you are unable to return it to us, we ask that you contact us so we can help you rehome your dog. Dog must be up to date on all shots prior to leaving your home. At no time is the dog to be sold, given away or placed in a shelter without the Briar Mtn's knowledge and consent.
RELEASE AGREEMENT: Buyer releases Briar Mtn Farm and Kennel, its owners Paul Cauley and HIS estate ( INCLUDING HEIRS ) from any and all damages / liabilities by fault of this dog after the time of sale. These damages include, but are not limited to, physical damage to any person, group of people or any livestock / pets and the destruction of public / private property. Buyer shall also assume all risks of the dog, including loss, after it leaves Briar Mtn Farm.

This contract is only legal and binding if signed by both parties. No warranties/ guarantees are covered herein unless signed by both parties. There will be no warranties/guarantees ( either expressed or implied by both parties) will be in effect unless in writing and attached to this contract. 1/1/2012 ( revised 11/24/16 ).
